Fire Assay for gold, silver and the platinum group metals. The platinum
metals are reported as their weight in troy ounces per ton in the sample
but not which metals are present as parting the platinum group for
quantitative testing is a more involved process. Prefer to receive 4 to 8
ounces of material for the test but can run the analysis on smaller
samples with lower
accuracy. When the test is run on 1/2 assay ton the results are reported in thousandths of an ounce troy per ton. $25.00
Gold Bullion Assay Duplicate analysis on metallic particles, drillings etc. for gold, silver and platinum group content. Results
reported in fineness and troy ounces per ton. $30.00
Mineral Analysis Prefer one ounce sample but can be run on less. Use physical and chemical tests like
spectroscopic analysis, hardness, color, crystal
form, index of refraction, solubility in acid, fusibility to determine the
physical characteristics and chemical composition of the unknown mineral.
Search a 3,696 mineral database for the found
characteristics to determine the identity of the mineral sample and report the identity with a mineral fact sheet to the
customer.$20.00
Spectroscopic Analysis Use the Vreeland
spectroscope to visually check for the presence and approximate quantity
of 55 metals in the sample. The test can be run on a pin head sized piece
but one ounce of material is better. This method is best
suited to determining the high percentage metals present in a sample.$25.00
Cyanide Solution Assay (Chiddy Analysis on your cyanide solution) 500 ml of solution, precipitate with lead acetate and zinc,
cupel and weigh. $35.00
Cyanide Leach Leach two assay ton sample of ore ground to 100 mesh minus for 24 hours in 1% cyanide solution at PH 10.5.
Recover metal by precipitation and weighing with parting. $35.00
Aqua Regia Leach Gold, silver and platinum. Digest one assay ton of ore ground to 100 mesh minus and precipitate precious
metals for weighing with sulfur dioxide and ammonium chloride. $35.00
All of the above tests are performed in my lab. All sample preparations are included in the above
prices. Reports are mailed or emailed to the customer.
