Analysis: Prefer
one ounce sample but can be run on less. Use physical and chemical tests
like spectroscopic analysis, hardness, color, crystal form,
index of refraction, solubility in acid, fusibility to determine the
physical characteristics
and chemical composition of the unknown mineral. Search a 3,696 mineral
database for the found characteristics to determine the identity of the
mineral
sample and report the identity with a mineral fact sheet to the

Spectroscopic Analysis: Use the Vreeland
spectroscope to visually check for the presence and approximate quantity of 55
metals in the sample. The test can be run on a pin head sized piece but one
ounce of material is better. This method is best suited to determining the high
percentage metals present in a sample. $25.00
